Coach's Corner

“Give them a ball and set them free, young players have a great way of working the rest out themselves" Michael Beale

Thank you for coaching. Coaching is teaching.

Since we are dealing with kids patience must be our no. 1 guide:-)

Also resist the urge to scrimmage in practice, as only the better players will get
the ball.

Maximum ball contact is very important at the younger ages.

We'd like to see you use the "Small Sided Games" approach, (see pdf file).

Over time we will add training manuals in pdf format.(You'll need Adobe Reader
or Mac Preview)
Check out the column on the right.

There are many soccer exercises available on the internet.

If you google : Soccer for young or small children you will get the typical 180,000 pages with soccer drills. We prefer the word exercises.
There are also many soccer exercises you can actually see on youtube for a better visual.

No need to sign up for any service, most of what you need you can get for free.

While many offer a subscription, here are some with a few free exercises are:

I spelled it out due to scam fishing internet bots!

Most of all avoid the three L's

Laps
Lectures
Lines

Make it fun and get to the game, that's what kids come for.
